2019 HKUST Finance Symposium
Hong Kong, December 9-10, 2019

We invite you to submit your paper to the 17th HKUST Finance Symposium, which will be held in Hong Kong on Dec 9-10, 2019.

The symposium alternates between asset pricing and corporate finance and this year we are inviting to submit papers in corporate finance, broadly defined. Prof. Douglas Diamond and Prof. Philip Bond are the keynote speakers at this year’s symposium.

The deadline for submissions is Monday, September 16, 2019, midnight US PST. The submission fee is HK$400 (~50 USD). Please submit your paper here.

The decisions will be made by the end of September. We plan to accept ten papers from this call for papers.

The symposium schedule allows plenty of room for detailed discussions and interactions in a niche, small group setting; and presenters and discussants typically stay for the whole duration to benefit from it.

Unfortunately, we are unable to reimburse travel or other expenses for presenting authors or discussants, but we are happy to waive their conference registration fees, which cover refreshments, lunches, and the conference dinner. Other participants will be asked to pay HK$3000 or the ‘early bird’ rate of HK$2500, which applies before Friday, November 1, 2019.

You can find information on our previous symposia here.

We look forward to seeing you in Hong Kong in December!
